Automobiles in German Town Found Covered with Swastikas in Human Blood, Police Report

Incident location Affected vehicle Area Law Enforcement
Police reported they were alerted by a individual who discovered a vehicle in Hanau smeared with red-colored liquid

Approximately fifty automobiles have been smeared with what appears to be human bodily fluid in the German city of Hanau near Frankfurt, according to law enforcement.

Automobiles, walls and mailboxes were marked, in some cases with Nazi symbols, they stated in a official communication.

Officers state they were alerted in the late hours on Wednesday, when a man noticed that a car in the Lamboy area of Hanau had been marked with a reddish-hued fluid.

The fluid had been drawn in the shape of a banned symbol, they reported.

Law enforcement then found numerous other smeared automobiles and residential walls in the nearby vicinity.

These symbols are illegal in Germany under laws banning the visible presentation of Nazi-era symbols.

Officials say preliminary tests indicate the fluid was likely human blood.

"Currently there is no indication as to its source; authorities are presently not aware of any harm in relation with the event," they commented.

Municipal representatives stated they were attempting "to unravel the case" and have appealed to the community for tips.

An important representative commented the attack left him speechless and needed to be addressed promptly.

"This event affects the center of Hanau and reopens the wounds of the extremist attack in 2020," he posted on a platform, mentioning the murder of nine people by a gunman aiming at people of foreign heritage in 2020.
